Do Bartending Schools Work ?

I truly believe that bartending schools work, well some bartending schools.  I went to bartending school many, many moons ago and the information that I received I still used to this day .  Look at it like this,  what you put in you will get back.  What do you think?

I think that is very true…
As the saying goes…”Practice makes Perfect.” And whether or not you’ve practiced it in a bar/restaurant scene or within your own home, the information that you learn at bartending school is priceless! Be sure to get the right school, like I did, because if you don’t have the right instructors, misinformation can hurt you. PLUS ~ Personality BABY, that’s your money maker! So if you don’t have one, you better find one or work on those skills hard!!! 😉
Cheers to Tee & Kimmie! The Best instructors in the House!

I agree 100%. I think hands on environment without the high pressure “sink or swim” worked for me. Sometimes you can lie your way into a good bartending gig and get let go for lack of knowledge when if you were prepared it would have been a great opportunity.

I truly believe bartending school helps a lot. Coming from a background of not being a drinker, and having absolutely no knowledge about alcohol to knowing almost everything about big brand liquors was a huge 180 degree turn for me. Anyone can become a bartender, but not everyone can become as knowledgeable about what they do. Taking that extra step in anything you do and becoming the best at it will earn you big bucks in the future. My teachers Tee and Kim taught me how to come out of my shell and use my personality to attract people. They threw obstacles at me that I never thought I would need in the future for bartending. But when someone asked me for a rare drink such as a, “Japanese lemonade,” I used my knowledge that my teachers taught me how to use to figure out what the drink contained. Not only did I get a great tip because I knew how to make the drink, but I also got the customer to come back the following day for another drink. Bartending school has taught me a lot about myself that I didn’t even know. Additionally, my teachers became role models to me, and I still look up to both of them till this day.
